Vox ac10 best settings12/25/2023 So dug out one of my lovely NOS Ge 5751 collection and plugged that into first tube location (nice sockets btw). Lastly, as I did with my last EL84-powered amp running the power stage wide open, I went looking for a little more volume before breakup. Clearance thing unless you Rube Goldberg some workaround. Pic of the alternate method.Īlso, some research in case anyone cares, there's really insufficient room in case someone thinks about adding a real Celestion Blue or Weber Blue Pup, even without the cover. (Take care to finesse your fingers in there first & disconnect the speaker.) Reverse the process for reassembly. Then take out the 2 top screws near the control panel that hold the chassis the whole thing w/backboard comes away from the cabinet. Just get out the outer screws at sides & bottom BUT NOT the top 3 center that are actually into the amp chassis. Found a better way into/out of the amp 10 screws instead of 17.mostly to feed search engine about "Vox AC10C1 speaker changes tube access tube swap" etc. It has more gain at the top end than AC10 or 15 also. Not to beat a dead horse, but some quick ERRATA on this amp (and it's still 2015). Its does 50, 25 or 12 watts depending on what ohm speaker you connect to it. I have one of these babies as a gigging back up and home use amp. Lastly, this little Vox MV50 AC with Nu-tube sounds as good as an AC10 or 15 re-issue imo when paired with a Celestion alnico speaker. It has power scaling at 5, 15 or 25 watts. On it's green channel it sounds equally great as a vintage AC30 imo.īut it also does great Marshall tones on the red channel and classic Boogie tones in H2 mode. The Mesa Boogie TA-15 is another clone that's a better option than AC re-issues imo. If I wanted Vox tones I would choose this Morgan AC20 over a Vox AC10, 15 or 30 myself It's 20w max with power scaling which allows you to dial in anywhere between 1 and 20w. It also has a lot more features making it more versatile and it's much lighter of course. I had opportunity to play one of these Morgans recently and thought it sounded equally great as a vintage AC30 and better than any of the re-issues. It's an example of how modern amps can be made that improve on vintage amps. The Morgan is a modern clone of a vintage AC30 (not a chinese made re-issue). Here's a video comparing features on an AC30 to a Morgan AC20. Just my two cents but it is based upon actually doing it.Įither way, the AC10 punches way above its weight. My experience was that the Red Fang increased the apparent volume level to where the little amp could keep up to a moderate drummer playing classic rock music. Given that a doubling of power gives 3 db more the Red Fang represents a huge increase in percieved loudness. The Celestion VX10 speaker it comes with is rated at 95db efficiency - the Red Fang is 102.2 db. I bought my AC10 as a little home amp never intending to gig it. They all sounded heavenly but weighed a ton and wouldn't keep up to a moderate drummer on stage, yet my 12-15W Princetons do with a 12" Emi Legend. I sold my AC15s, two regular ones and one HW model. They are all about the same volume and none are as loud as my 45w Bassmans, Bassmasters or Super Reverb. I have an AC30 and several other 4圎L84 amps, all rated at 30 watts. With respect, and not trying to be disagreeable but I think they sound like the power ratings they are.

Are rawhide rolls good for dogs12/25/2023 Ol’ Roy Rawhide 6″ Rolls Chews for Dogs, 9.31 OZ, 16 Count/bag, is a great treat for dogs, especially on a tight budget. Ol’ Roy Dog Food is a grain-free, protein-rich dog food that includes both meat and bone meal and poultry byproducts. In some cases, vets have objected to feeding rawhide treats to dogs, citing the possibility that pieces of rawhide could become lodged in their throats or intestines. Rawhide chews are frequently recommended by veterinarians as an alternative to tooth decay treatment, but there are some risks associated with them. Make sure your dog is safe while chewing by never leaving him unattended with any type of chew. Rawhides are hard chews that can cause bone fractures in the jaw and teeth, as well as severe dental or other health issues. Whimzees Natural Dog Dental Treats are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, gluten, or meat ingredients. When the chew is small enough to swallow or break into pieces, supervise and remove it as soon as possible.Įarth Animal No-Hide Chews do not contain any chemicals, additives, bleaches, or formaldehyde. Rawhide processing chemicals can be toxic, particularly if not properly cleaned prior to drying. In dogs, this can cause an obstruction of the esophagus or intestines if the dog eats a large piece whole. Rawhide is a byproduct of leather that is difficult to digest. You can give your dog safer chew options without putting him in danger by using safer dog chews. The lack of digestion makes rawhide products difficult to digest, resulting in choking, digestive upset, and obstruction. The rawhide is derived primarily from dried animal skin, which is a byproduct of leather. If your dog swallows large pieces of rawhide, it can get stuck in the esophagus or other parts of the digestive tract. This is much more serious than contamination or digestive issues. Is Ol Roy Rawhide Good For Dogs?Ī choking or blockage risk can arise as a result of rawhide bones and other edible chews. However, because all bones require chewing, a dog who swallows without chewing excessively may choke, and bones too hard may cause tooth damage. Raw chicken bones, turkey bones, lamb bones, or beef bones are soft enough to chew, eat, and digest. Make sure you are always on hand to supervise your dog after he or she has received a bone. A small piece of pork bone may be swallowed by your dog, potentially choking or obstructing his or her intestines. When your dog chews on pork bones, whether raw or cooked, they are likely to splinter and crack. Just be sure to select the right size bone and supervise your pet while they’re chewing on it. Overall, Ol’ Roy bones are a safe and healthy treat for your dog to enjoy. You should also supervise your dog while they’re chewing on the bone to make sure they don’t choke on it or swallow large pieces. Bones that are too small can pose a choking hazard, while bones that are too large can be difficult for dogs to chew on properly. If you’re considering giving your dog an Ol’ Roy bone, it’s important to choose one that’s the appropriate size for your pet. Rawhide is a good source of protein and helps to keep dogs’ teeth clean and healthy. These bones are made from rawhide, which is a type of animal skin that’s been treated to make it safe for dogs to chew on. Ol’ Roy bones are a popular brand of dog bones, but are they safe for dogs to consume? The answer is yes, dogs can safely eat Ol’ Roy bones. Dogs are known for their love of chewing on bones, and this can often lead pet owners to wonder whether it’s safe to give their furry friend a bone from the table.

One way is to organise the data using the top view. Discuss strategies that might be used to coordinate the information from the three views.Look for the following:ĭo they approach the task systematically or resort to trial and error?ĭo they get one view correct first, the top for example, before trying to get the other views correct? Ask them to work independently to create a building that matches the three views. Encourage students to share any other terms they use when talking about perspective (e.g. Use the language that is used on the slide - e.g “this is the top view”. Model constructing the building and viewing it from different perspectives. This could be done in pairs if necessary.Īfter a suitable time, ask students to compare their buildings and check that what they have built is correct. They will need a maximum of 10 cubes each. Give all students some cubes and invite them to construct the building.Slide 7 shows all three views simultaneously. Note that the drawings are what the camera sees and do not include cubes hidden behind others. Slides 4 – 6 show how plan views of a building can be created by lying it on a surface and viewing it from different positions. Students might spot iconic buildings or landmarks such as rivers or harbours. You could adapt the PowerPoint to include skylines from locations that are more relevant to your students (e.g. Ask students if they know the cities shown (New York, Melbourne, Shanghai). Slides 1-3 show some iconic skylines from around the world. Use PowerPoint One to introduce cityscapes. In this session students create plan views (top, front, side) of models made with connecting cubes. Te reo Māori kupu such as raumata (net of a solid figure) and the names for different shapes could be introduced in this unit and used throughout other mathematical learning You could choose one context to frame all problems in, or vary the contexts presented in each problem. Students might also be motivated by interesting local buildings or iconic structures from around the world (perhaps from cultures that are relevant to their heritage). For example, traditional whare and fale were usually the shape of pentagonal prisms. Many buildings throughout the pacific are examples of prisms so are ideal for this unit. The contexts for this unit can be adapted to suit the interests and cultural backgrounds of your students, and to make connections with current events and relevant learning from other curriculum areas. scaffolding the process of representational drawing into a sequence of steps.manipulating the complexity of the 3-dimensional objects the students represent.Tasks can be varied in many ways including: providing opportunities for students to work in groups and pairs to encourage collaboration, peer-sharing of ideas, questioning, and reciprocal learning.orientating cube models so the viewpoint matches the orientation of isometric paper.providing access to sculpting materials, such as plasticine, so students can create their own 3-dimensional models.altering the complexity of the shapes students are asked to construct. This could include the use of digital cameras explicitly modelling the building and drawing of shapes from various viewpoints, so students appreciate the minimal requirements of plan views.providing materials, such as physical or digital models of 3-dimensional solids, so students can move and manipulate these, and themselves, in relation to the objects. The learning opportunities in this unit can be differentiated by providing or removing support to students, by varying the task requirements. Nets are important in the packaging and construction industries. In this unit students explore creating nets which are flat patterns that fold to form a solid. A cone is similar to a pyramid in the same way that a cylinder is similar to a prism, as it has a curved surface, which means it is technically not a polyhedron. The figure below shows square-based and triangular based (tetrahedron) pyramids. square), and triangular faces that converge at a point, the apex. Pyramids have a base that names the pyramid (e.g. A cylinder is similar to a prism, however, because it has a curved surface, it is not technically a polyhedron. Having a constant cross-section is the defining property of a prism. In the figure below, the cube, cuboid, hexagonal prism, and triangular prism all have a constant cross-section if cut parallel to the end faces. Students learn about prisms and pyramids which are classes of polyhedra (plural). A polyhedron (singular) is a three-dimensional solid object that consists of a collection of polygons (flat shapes) that bound (enclose) a space. In this unit, students study solid (3-dimensional) shapes. These drawings are commonly seen in house design and usually show the structure from above (top or seagull view), front, and side. Plan views are different drawings of the same building.
